Industrial RO EDI water treatment system combines reverse osmosis (RO) membrane technology and electrodeionization (EDI) module to produce continuous high purity water. It is widely used as a replacement for traditional mixed bed ion exchange equipment.
Reverse osmosis removes most suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, heavy metal ions and organic matter from raw water. The EDI unit further deionizes the RO permeate without chemical regeneration. Compared with the conventional mixed bed, RO+EDI system saves chemical agents, reduces wastewater discharge and lowers operating cost.
